RAWALPINDI: DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has presented undeniable audio and video evidence of Indian funding for terrorism in Pakistan.

General Chaudhry highlighted that India is providing resources, including ammunition, to terrorists who target Pakistani civilians and military personnel. He pointed out that while a week has passed since the deadly Pahalgam incident in Indian-administered Kashmir, India has yet to present any concrete evidence, despite making verbal claims. In stark contrast, Pakistan now possesses undeniable evidence of India’s role in orchestrating terrorist activities.

One of the key revelations was the interception of communications between Indian handlers and a terrorist, identified as Majeed. According to General Chaudhry, Sukhwinder Singh, an Indian Army Subedar, is the handler behind the operation, providing Majeed with critical information, including the location for obtaining explosives. These explosives were sourced from the Bhimber area of Azad Kashmir, where the terrorist carried out an attack that injured three Pakistani soldiers.

Furthermore, it was revealed that the terrorist was given Rs 180,000 for his operations, and a subsequent raid led to the seizure of an Indian-made drone and a recovery of Rs 1 million. Additionally, Majeed was instructed to target the Jhelum bus stand, a civilian location, in order to maximize casualties. He was provided with an advance of Rs 100,000 for this operation. Majeed was eventually arrested in Jhelum with a bomb weighing two kilograms, and further forensic analysis of his mobile data is underway.

General Chaudhry also provided details of other terrorist activities carried out by Majeed. He outlined how the terrorist was involved in a series of attacks, including an assault near Head Marala, which resulted in the martyrdom of four Pakistani soldiers. Majeed was allegedly paid Rs 600,000 for this operation. Another operation in Kotli involved the use of suspicious bags containing explosives, with Majeed receiving Rs 60,000 for the mission.

The DG ISPR also disclosed that Major Sandeep Verma, an Indian Army officer, played a direct role in funding and coordinating terrorist activities in Pakistan. Major Verma admitted during an intercepted call to facilitating terrorism from Lahore to Balochistan, instructing Majeed on how to use explosives and select targets. The calls between the two revealed their intentions to attack crowded locations to maximize casualties.

Lieutenant General Chaudhry’s revelations underscore Pakistan’s claims of Indian involvement in sponsoring terrorism across the region. The Pakistani military has vowed to continue its efforts to expose and counter such cross-border terrorism, calling for international recognition of these malicious activities and holding those responsible accountable.
